If you’re shorter on time we have a 1-hour, evening trip to Burhou to see the puffins. Leaving at 6pm most days.
The uninhabited island of Burhou is home to the puffins between March and July, when they return to the island for their breeding season. During this time no one is allowed to land on the island, but you can view the bird life from sea .
Burhou Island is 1.25 miles northwest of Alderney. It is half a mile long and one fifth of a mile wide. It is a bird sanctuary, home to 11 species of breeding birds.
